'Vape' is Oxford Dictionaries' Word of the Year

“Vape” is the word!

The word “selfie” is so 2013! As vaporizing has been growing in popularity over the years and is continuing to spread, “vape” has been dubbed the 2014 word of the year, beating out other words in the running such as “bae”, “normcore” and “slacktivist”. What do these other words mean? We’re not entirely sure, but we are happy to see that the Oxford dictionary, Time magazine, and NPR have all recognized “vape” as a dictionary-worthy word.

We know vaporization has a long history (we wrote about it here) so, in celebration of adding “vape” to the dictionary, we are offering a 20% off site-wide sale (some exclusions apply). Use code: DICTIONARY
