How much do you guys ‘juana bet that almost every stoner has at least one box of cereal in their pantry? This sweet and crunchy breakfast food (or if we’re being honest with ourselves, midnight Netflix and chill in our pajamas food) is among every treefer’s go-to munchies snack. Do I de-light in the fact that cereal is the equivalent of my morning sunshine and bedtime story? Yes, of course I do. Do I live for my sugar highs when I gobble cereal until the artificial colors disappear and all I'm left is a ceramic bowl? YOU BETCHYAAA! My fellow cereal aficionados, circle 'round the peace pipe, and listen up: March 7th is National Cereal Day!

 

What if I were to tell you, my beloved buds, that you can easily make homemade cereal-topped...now, just in case you've been living under a rock, let me clue you in: donuts are having a major moment on Instagram. But, we’re going to take this recipe a little higher by adding some lucky charms *wink wink* from the leprechaun’s pot of green using the LEVO Oil Infuser. Get ready to fly high on Cloud 9 because whether you like Cinnamon Toast Chronic, Cap’N Munch, or Reese’s Puff Puff Puffs, you can customize these dank-nuts to whatever your munchies heart desires.

INGREDIENTS:

*You will need a donut pan

Donut:

  • 2 cups cake flour
  • ¾ cup your favorite cereal
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp LEVO butter [read our HOW TO: LEVO Butter], melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup whole milk

Glaze:

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp “cereal” milk
  • 1½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Your favorite cereal

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Combine milk and cereal in a bowl, set aside for 30 minutes (this is the “cereal milk”).

2. Strain out milk, measuring ¾ cups for the donut batter and the rest for the glaze.

3. Preheat the oven to 425° F.

4. Spray the donut pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

5. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

6. Add cereal milk, eggs, LEVO butter, and vanilla extract to the dry mix and whisk until the batter is combined.

7. Spoon donut batter into a gallon-sized ziplock and cut off ½ inch piece of the corner of the bag.

8. Pipe batter into each donut cup.

9. Bake for 7-9 minutes, until the tops spring back when touched.

10. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing.

11. In a small bowl, stir together sugar, cereal milk, and vanilla extract until the sugar is completely dissolved.

12. Dip the donuts into the glaze immediately and top with desired cereal.
