Look & Feel:

The Alfa is so compact that it fits in your hand perfectly.

With pre-set temperature settings, and a small, lightweight body, it can be easily compared to the Pax vaporizer. One difference between the two is the heating chamber size is relatively small, holding a max of .2g. This is actually a good thing for someone who only needs a little bit at a time. What's really cool and unique to the Alfa vaporizer is that it has a central heating-pin that ensures that your material heats evenly.

How to Use the Alfa:

To prepare your material, grind your blends finely. Open the oven door that is located on the bottom of the Alfa, load your blends fully, and close the door.

There are 3 pre-set temperature settings, and 2 automatic settings that you can choose from on the rotary dial located at the top of the Alfa, next to the mouthpiece.

Pre-set temperature settings:

    • Lo - 190°C / 374°F
    • Mid - 210°C / 410°F
    • Hi - 225°C / 437°F

Automatic functions:

    • A/P - With this setting, the Alfa will heat up to the lowest setting and then will increase gradually in temperature after each draw until it reaches the maximum temperature in this mode of 220°C / 428°F.
    • A/T - In this mode, Alfa will heat up to the lowest setting, and then the temperature will increase gradually every three minutes until it reaches the maximum temperature of 220°C / 428°F.

After turning the Alfa on and selecting your preferred setting, it will take just about a quick 30 seconds to heat up. While the Alfa is heating, it will blink green. When it's ready to vape, the light will turn solid green. Green means go!

Vapor Quality:

We like to start on the lower settings in general to get a feel for the vapor quality and aroma, because you know it's just going to get better from there! On just the medium setting, we were able to get really good vapor production and the aroma was excellent. We were surprised, considering it's another conduction style vaporizer, but definitely pleased with the results.

Power:

It takes about an hour and a half to completely charge the Alfa. When charging, the LED light will be solid red, and when the battery is fully charged, the LED will turn solid green. The Alfa will last about 2 hours of continuous use, which is a little longer than some popular portable vaporizers on the market today.

The battery is not replaceable in the Alfa, which makes us a little sad, but we really like the fact that the Alfa can be used while charging, so that makes up for it!

The Alfa has an auto shut-off after 10 minutes if it does not detect a draw to save battery life.

Cleaning:

Cleaning is so easy with the Alfa. You really only need to be concerned with the heating chamber and the vapor pathway.

The vapor path can be cleaned by removing the mouthpiece and then the screen. If your screen is caked with residue, you may want to clean that too while you're at it! Just stick it in some isopropyl alcohol while you're cleaning the rest of the vape.

Use a cleaner tool/chenille stick lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol that came in the cleaning kit and run that through the vapor pathway as many times as needed.

If necessary, you can use the cleaning picks that were provided to remove any pieces of material around the oven.

Pros:

    • Can be used while charging
    • Super portable and lightweight
    • Ease of use - all it takes is a turn of the dial!
    • Low maintenance

Cons:

    • Battery is not replaceable
    • Not USB compatible
