Quality entry level vape Review by Cooter on 1/19/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I have had my SOLO since before xmas'09. I have had zero problems. The surgical tubing can melt together at the wand end if you bend the wand in half. I have been diligent about keeping the wand straight when I'm not using it between draws. This keeps the plastic from melting together. I have left the unit on and left my house only to return to no problems. Unit does what it says. This is an entry level vape. You get more than you pay for with SOLO. I use it everyday. Don't forget the screens though. I replace my screen once a week. For the price, SOLO can't be beat. Works well with multiple people also. Set unit between 250 and 350 degrees, 420 degrees is the highest I have vaped at and even that was OK, but I prefer 350ish.

Don't get this Review by Vape sir on 12/30/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Spend more money if your going to get a vape. Just bought one of these. Some guy at the local shop is selling them for 125$. Thing didn't even turn on. The second one melted the whip. The digital lighting doesn't entirely show and it has no bearing in temp. Don't get this.

hmmm interesting Review by ssssddddsss on 9/2/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I use it and its great as a first vapor, but the whip tends to fall off the heating element if you not careful. annoying cuz then everything falls out onto the floor, you have to get close to use it. also, the whip is horrible. melted at the base next to the bowl, tasted like plastic and I'm sure that's not good for you to inhale....could be contradicting its very purpose. we had to go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy an aquarium tube/hose and replace it every couple of tries. but the whip is like fifty cents a foot, cheap, but annoying. and when the whip melted, it melted together so you couldn't get a hit. so you had to either buy a replacement or cut off the melted part....then it just gets shorter and shorter and easier for the whip to fall off and spill everything. Overall though, I like the results except for that part and yes I noticed that even though i set the temp between 340-360, the results vary so the digital temp readout must be off. good starter though....nice results

got the job done Review by Shish on 9/1/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Doesn't go around in circles very long. More breakable than other vapes, but definitely gets the job done.

all in all not bad Review by rave420 on 8/4/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I bought one of these units, expecting a cheap Chinese model that was being sold at a steep markup.
When i got the unit, i realize that i could have not been more accurate. The only expensive part on it seems to be the heating element, the rest is low budget stuff. i wonder how the unit knows what temperature it's at, because i saw no feedback sensors that would have told the unit how hot it is. It is essentially an analog vaporizer with a numeric display indicating the dial position, not corresponding to any actual temperature. I was a bit bummed out by that, because i thought i had actual control over the temperature. tests with a laser thermometer confirm that the display temperature has nothing to with actual airflow temperature.
However...There is a good side to this vape. It's the cheapest unit on the market, and it works for what it is intended to. It does the job, but if you want more control, more user-friendliness and more sturdiness then go for a different vaporizer. This one looks like it might break if i tug on the whip too hard, and if you should drop it i am sure the ceramic element will break.
It is definitely not a digital vaporizer. There are no temperature sensors, and there is no mechanism for controlling / measuring airflow temperature, which is THE most important thing in a digital vaporizer. Maybe they can remove the numeric display (which tends to confuse people), and put increments from 1 to 10 on the dial, so people can get back to a temperature that worked for them before. You have to do some experimenting (on my unit it was 375, on my friends unit 110) to find a temp when there is max. vaporization and no combustion. The unit is alright for the price considering it works and does the job. The description is a bit confusing, it does not accurately describe what you get.
You get a DIGITALLY CONTROLLED vaporizer with binary state temperature control (it heats up to a certain point, cools off to a certain point, and then reheats to that point again), which is NOT digital temperature control (where you set 380F and the unit regulates the power flow to the heating element to keep it at that constant temperature).
Oh, and for the love of god, please include a FOOD GRADE plastic whip next time that doesn't give off nasty tasting (and potentially harmful) fumes. A piece of rubber tubing doesn't cost that much, is taste neutral, and gives the unit a MUCH BETTER taste (when the overall specs are that low, it better work and taste the way it's intended too).
All in all, a good price - value buy -

It does the job! Review by JGR on 7/19/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Well, this would be my second vaporizer, the 1st vapir handheld "gave away" & now the SOLO, which i must say IT DOES THE JOB! Simple,CHEAP & easy to operate, So the digital feature is not accurate, turn it on, let it heat up & bingo! I would change the WHIP, buy the upgrade its a nice glass set up & the tube is worth it.
Overall, If you want to experience using a vaporizer "for the price" look no futher, easy to use & it does the job!

Great value - even temps Review by Blackbeard on 7/17/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Works great. The only complaint is the adjustment knob not adjusting the temps in slow even advances - the heat settings jump. Otherwise a perfect vap and a recommend. Clean consistent hits. Nice not to have to remove the whip between hits. BTW since the heat adjustment knob works like a volume control.. if you just unplug the vap from the wall and leave the setting knob alone.. you are good to go for your perfect temp by just plugging back into the wall temp is same as when you unplugged.

Perfect for beginners Review by W1LD1 on 6/16/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value THE GOOD:
-Unbeatable price
-Digital temperature display
-Cool blue glow
-Quite sturdy, mine has survived all falls when knocked off the table
-Did I mention the incomparable price?!
-Good size, not big/small
-It lasts; I have used it for over 4 months and it hasn't aged a day.
THE BAD:
-The whip they provide needs replacement after about 5 uses
-The dial is far too sensative
-The power cord tends to fall out upon moving the vaporizer
-NOT made in America
JUDGEMENT:
-If this is your first time to buy a vaporizer, look no further, Vaporite SOLO is the BEST bang for you buck! Even if you are familiar with vaporizers, for around $100, this one is still probably your best bet. The only reason you shouldn't buy this one is if you either want a portable vape or you want a vape that can fill balloons. -
Vaporite Solo Review by Token on 5/29/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Very good for a first time vaper. I suggest buying a better whip though, from a name brand company. The whip it comes with isn't that good, but it will get the job done.

Digital, yeah right Review by Ls all day on 4/20/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I bought one last night and set it at 350, the usual perfect temperature, and it incinerated everything in the whip. today I tried it at 300, same result.
I realized the "digital" temperature gauge had nothing to do with the actual dial position. Eventually it said it was set at 26 degrees when i finally got it down to the nice light mist everyone enjoys.
Below freezing temps aren't any help in setting it next time. It's going back. I'm getting a Vapor Box, which I had a few years ago but left with a friend. Never a problem and it was consistent. -
Vaporite Solo Vaporizer Review by BIG B on 4/14/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value The vaporite is awesome. I have used products such as the volcano and vapezilla and this is the same, if not better. Easy to use, great look. The LED lights are very bright.
