Vapir Oxygen Mini Vaporizer

Vapir is a corporation established in 1997 and incorporated in 2001 out of California, USA. The first Vapir Digital Air Vaporizer was created in 2002. There claim is that all their products are "designed" in the USA… but in small print made in China.

Some of the parts in the box of the Vapir Oxygen Mini include a Vapir mouthpiece, a 5" Vapir Tube and a Rechargeable Battery pack.

Durability/ Claims

The Vapir Oxygen Mini is manufactured in China so you receive the normal 90 day warranty which is the standard for vaporizers made in Asia. They do offer warranty services in California, USA, so you don’t have to send it to China if something breaks on it. Vapir offers a specialized 3 year warranty for an extra cost but we feel that within the 3 year mark you would want to upgrade to a better tasting and more portable vaporizer.

The defect rate on the Vapir Oxygen Mini is actually very minimal for a vaporizer put together in China. The most common problem is with the heating element which is apparent with all Vapir vaporizers. The unit will turn on and display the actual heating element temperature correctly but never increases the temperature. This usually occurs right away so it's within the 90 warranty period.

Design

The looks of the Vapir Oxygen Mini are comparable to a really big marker/pen with a small LED screen with a blue back light. It includes a belt clip which doesn’t really support the weight of the vaporizer and because of its sheer size it looks a little silly attached to your jeans.

It’s a portable vaporizer due to a battery pack that’s rechargeable but it’s the exact same battery you would find in your 18 volt R/C cars you would use when you were a kid. So unless you want to have the battery pack in a purse or backpack you're not going to want to be carrying a vaporizer and a battery pack of that size.

The other option for portability is the optional car adapter. This is different than the car adapter for the Vapir One 5.0 which is more like an inverter, this one is an actual car adapter made for the Vapir Oxygen Mini and actually works very well and increases the "value" of the Mini Vaporizer.

Its single function design makes it simple to use and hassle free, simply a tube and a mouthpiece attaches to the tip. Set your desired temperature and inhale.

Taste

For a vaporizer under $125 the vapor isn’t the cleanest tasting but for that price it gets the job done. It is a plastic housed vaporizer with the inhalation methods all starting with a plastic tip and a tube trying to extract the vapor. There is some concern from other users of the vaporizer from inhalation of heated plastic especially the first couple uses. Make sure you read our Tips and Tricks section below for information on how to get rid of that plastic taste at first.

Ease of Use

With a single inhalation method the Vapir Mini offers a simple design with no learning curve. When it comes to how easy it is to use – an instruction manual is included but really not needed. Simply push the included Vapir tube into the top of the Vapir Mini and connect a Vapir mouthpiece to that tube. You can directly inhale it without using the provided tube but the close proximity to the heater chamber will make the vapor harsher.

Tips and Tricks

As with all new vaporizers you should always allow a 30 minute break-in period before the first use. Turn the heat all the way up and turn the fan on High. This will burn any excess manufacturer oil or any loose plastic bits inside and get rid of that "plastic" taste.
