How it Works
Load aromatic blends into the Pax oven and lightly tamp down. Power on Pax by pressing in the retractable mouthpiece and allowing it to spring in to the "on" position. Pax indicator light will turn green once fully heated and ready for use. Remove mouthpiece to reveal temperature button to cycle through presets as needed.
Pax features 3 temperature presets for optimal vaporization. Remove Pax mouthpiece to access the temperature button and cycle through the following presets:
- Yellow....370 °F (188 °C)
- Orange...390 °F (199 °C)
- Red..........410 °F (210 °C)
Pax utilizes a Lithium-ion rechargeable internal battery that charges in under 2 hours and lasts for up to 2 hours of continuous use. Drop Pax onto the included charging dock for easy charging. While powered on, shake Pax to reveal battery life indicators:
- Green...Full Battery
- Yellow..Partially Charged
- Red.......Low Battery
Pax is a precision device and should be cleaned on a regular basis. While Pax is powered on, remove mouthpiece and soak in soap and water. Let mouthpiece dry before replacing. To clean Pax body, remove mouthpiece and oven lid. Moisten cleaning tool with supplied alcohol wipe. Starting from the mouthpiece end, insert moistened cleaning tool into the vapor pathway, pushing out the oven screen. Floss Pax with cleaning tool. To clean Pax oven, oven lid, and screen, use a moistened bent cleaning tool or moistened cotton swab to remove residue. Screens will need to be replaced as necessary. Apply lubricant after every cleaning session.
- 1. Open lubricant packet.
- 2. Drip a small droplet of lubricant into the stem of the metal mouthpiece tube.
- 3. Apply another small droplet on the outside of the metal tube. Use the packet to smudge it all around the tube and under the small sliding part.
- 4. Replace your mouthpiece into Pax and press the mouthpiece in and out 10-20 times to distribute the lubricant.

Ive had my pax for about 2 years. I also have a Magic flight launch box portable. It took me about a week or so to really get the hang of how to fill efficiently and draw the vapor. Cleaning and lubrication was a little bit of learning also. However, once I mastered the device it is the best Portable i can imagine. It looks cool and works great.
We started off on the right foot by reading reviews and tips/tricks on grasscity. Grind up your [blends] very fine and [fill] the heating chamber very well. Heats up pretty quick and gives a good clean [draw]. We start with the Medium setting and then go to high to extract the most from your product. The last bit starts to get a little harsh but that is to be expected. Pax2 coming out soon, but this is probably still the better value. Keep your expectations reasonable. Some of the negative reviews I have seen that almost had me get a different product are stupid. Look at the size of this....it's pretty small. Look at the chamber it has to heat, it is decent sized for one person....don't expect the battery to last 2 hours a day on one charge. If you need one for a group that [vapes] all day long....then get a table top. Seen complaints about oven door falling off and losing it.....not sure how that happens but if you toss it around carelessly then I guess it could.
Here are what I think are it's good points:
It heats quickly
It heats accurately and keeps the heat regulated
it times out after a short period to save battery. Move it and it starts to heat up to target temp immediately
Easy to clean (Keep the mouthpiece clean and lubed properly)
Small, can fit easily in your pocket/purse
10 year warranty
I read where to mouthpiece gets sticky. Too soon to call for us, but this was mentioned over and over. Keep it clean.
Have to take out mouthpiece to change temps. I'm not a fan of this at all, the more moving parts....well the better chance of problems. Sure 10 year warranty, but I rather not have to send it off and be without for repairs.
Gunk on charger after use. Keep it clean is the key. After first and only use, oven leaked a little gunk, this could have easily ended up in the bottom of my pocket instead.
No user replaceable battery.
Like I said keep your expectations realistic.
Portable, decent vape, smooth [aroma], decent draw. Great for portable single/two person use. Hear rumors about waste...I have no clue what they were talking about.

10 Year Ltd. Warranty
Ploom, Inc. warrants Pax against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ten (10) years from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser. If a physical defect arises and a claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, Ploom will either (1) Repair the product defect, (2) Exchange the product with a product that is new or is at least a functionally equivalent product, or (3) Refund the purchase price of the product.
