Why Buy Your Iolite Vaporizer From Us?
VapeWorld.com is one of the few Authorized Dealers for the Iolite line of portable vaporizers. You can see by the symbol below – that is distinctive to us and will make sure that your Iolite Vaporizer comes with full warranty support and service for the full 2 years.

When it comes to Portable Vaporizers you do not need to look any further, VapeWorld.com would like to introduce the newest version Iolite Vaporizer by Oglesby & Butler Ltd. Oglesby & Butler have been designing butane powered heating devices for over 10 years so when a need came up for a true portable vaporizer they came to our rescue. The Iolite Portable Vaporizer is available in 9 colors and now, new for 2010 is the Tie Dye version. (See picture 3 above) The Tie Dye Iolite Vaporizer is available for a limited time so make sure you order soon before we run out for good.
What makes the Iolite Vaporizer so portable is its patented designed internal heating catalyst coupled with a Piezo electric starter button. The Iolite Vaporizer uses only Butane gas to heat itself up, the same type of Butane gas you would fill your Zippo lighters with.

This method of heating not only makes the Iolite Vaporizer completely free of batteries to charge and cords to plug in, making it the most free range portable vaporizer ever!
Where Do I Put My Aromatherapy Materials?
If you are holding the unit in your hand you should see the mouthpiece, the black long tip with a white ending piece. If you pull that straight out it will be accompanied by a chamber, if you flip it upside down you now have your filling chamber bowl. This is where you will place your blends for the Iolite Vaporizer. While that filling chamber / mouthpiece combo is out of the unit, you will notice the place that it sits in, inside the Iolite Vaporizer called the heating chamber. It will look like a stainless steel cyclinder with a small metal pin extruding out of the middle of it. This is your heating pin and will be the part that gets 374 degree F, so when replacing your material while the Iolite is on or has been on be sure not to touch any of the metal because it will be hot!
How Does the Iolite Vaporizer Work?
The Iolite Vaporizer heats up with the help of Butane Gas, so naturally you will have to fill it up somehow. Picture 6 above will keep you on track while you are reading this next section. In Picture 6 above you will see the part labeled “Filling Valve” – that is pointed to a brass valve where you will insert the Butane Gas. To fill the Iolite correctly hold the Iolite Vaporizer straight up and flip the Butane Can upside down. Make contact between the valve/nipple of the Iolite and the upside down Butane can valve and twist it a little to make sure there is good contact. Then push down the Butane Can to start filling the Iolite Vaporizer with butane gas. It should fill for about 5-10 seconds and once full butane gas will spill out the sides and evaporate almost immediately.
With a full Iolite Vaporizer in hand now, Push the “On/Off Switch” from “0” to “1” and you will hear a slight hissing sound from the unit. This is a normal sound so do not be alarmed, you may also smell some Butane Gas – that too is normal and safe. Now you must internally ignite the Iolite, simply push in the Piezo Starter Button one time, it will click.
If you look at the “Heater Mesh Screen” above in Picture 6 (this is the mesh looking part on one side of the Iolite) you should see a small blue light turn into a small orange light for about 20 seconds, this orange light will be accompanied by the sound of hissing you already heard once. If you do not see the Orange Light – that is okay it will not always be on, the Iolite heats in cycles, and every "cycle" will include some hissing and the orange light. If you did not press in the Piezo starter button on the Iolite Vaporizer then you will just hear hissing and never see any lights. Remember - Fill, Turn On, Ignite, Inhale.
After about 3-5 heating cycles (orange light appears with the sound of hissing) your Iolite Vaporizer will be ready to use.
What's Included with the Iolite Vaporizer?
The Iolite Vaporizer comes in a sleek black box with many extra parts to keep you vaping for many months to come. Included in the box are:
- 1 pc. Extra Screen for Filling Chamber
- 1 pc. Carrying Zip Case
- 1 pc. Cleaning Brush
- 1 pc. Brass Maintenance Tool (used for purging your Iolite Vaporizer and removing the Heating Pin)
- 1 pc. Extendable Mouthpiece
- Instruction Manual
You Mentioned “Purge”?!?
Purging is a way to remove all of the Butane Gas inside the Iolite Vaporizer. You will need to purge your unit if you a.) have used un-filitered or bad Butane Gas (ie: Ronson) or b.) seem to be experiencing problems with the Iolite Vaporizer, such as the unit not igniting right away (no orange light) or the hissing sound starts making a sputtering sound. There is a 95% chance that you will not ever have to do this, but at least you have the knowledge to do so if you need to.

Warranty and Support
The Iolite Vaporizer comes with a full 2 Year Warranty through the North American division of Oglesby & Butler. Their support team is top-notch and handles any issue with the Iolite with ease and very little turn-around time should you have to send your unit in. VapeWorld.com will help you as much as possible with making sure the return/warranty process goes smoothly including providing your invoice and any additional information you might need.

Good device, poor durability Review by Chris on 3/21/13
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This was my first vaporizer. Got it slightly used on Ebay and pretty much used it on a daily basis 1-2 times daily. After about 6 months it stopped working. the spark didn't light. I opened it up, but couldn't fix it. I found it hard to communicate with the customer service and I am not sure if I have it under warranty.
The best advantage with this vape (and WHISPR) is that since it uses butane fuel, you don't need to charge it. So you can bring it out and not have to worry about losing battery as long as you have fuel.
The Iolite is a decent vape in my opinion, but make sure you get a warranty. Also I just got the Magic Flight Launch Box and its a little more complicated to use, but it is way better and much easier to clean up. And most importantly it cost less! So, unless you're not into the MFLB, I can say go for this, the WHISPR is pretty much the 2nd generation and costs more but its pretty much the same machine. -
If you can get it to light it's great Review by Girly on 3/8/13
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I'm on my second Origional Iolite. First one quit working and was under warrenty so they replaced it. Your altitude really affects it. I live at 4900 ft. and still have problems with my new one. Taking it to the mountains is futile. When it lights, it the greatest. Just the other day I couldn't get it lit after waiting the 2 minutes for it to be ready and then another 2 minutes clicking it. I think I will wear out the ignighter before anything else goes bad.
If you live at sea level it should work fine. I am currently looking for something else. -

Rarely ever works Review by combattracker on 12/26/12
Quality Ease-of-Use Value The unit hasvery seldom worked and I have yet to figure out why. I have filled it with fuel perhaps 15 times and it has worked 3 times. I have gone online on numerous occasions to read the manual, figuring I was doing something wrong, but it just does not work 80% of the time. I have read numerous other reviews which say the same thing. I sure wish it worked, as it would be really convenient. I would not recommend this to anyone and wish I had not paid the price! Great idea, but iIolite needs to go back to the drawing board.

get to know your iolite Review by smaceballs on 11/28/12
Value Quality Ease-of-Use I really like this vaporizer though it's nothing compared to the volcano (as most aren't). However, it's GREAT as far as portability goes, especially since it doesn't need batteries! I love that about it probably more than anything else. I've had mine for about two years and I paid far more for it than it's worth now what with all the other portable devices currently on the market. What I will say is that my husband still has a hard time getting a good rip off of it...it helps to take long, slow, gradual inhales after allowing ample time for it to heat up. Works for me but it took awhile to figure out what works best/bend it to my will.

good 'til it breaks Review by farmer on 11/24/12
Value Quality Ease-of-Use I have had 2 iolites now. The unit is discrete. I like the portability. I like the hit strength. I don't like 1) they cost alot and then 2) don't work at ski altitudes ( forget it above 7k ft). 3) don't function for long. The first unit lasted about 4 months before getting increasingly hard to ignite, then refusing to fire up altogether after 6 months. The second one quit after 2 months-- same pattern. I used the proper butane, I didn't abuse the thing. It's really frustrating. Iolite needs better quality control, or more rugged design, or something to make these things more reliable. (A replacable piezo igniter, an adjustable butane jet?)

Amazing taste with no odor or harsh elements Review by victoria on 2/12/12
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I have severe arthritis in my neck and back from multiple injuries as an elite athlete. Over the years I have taken every anti-inflamitory and pain killer on the planet. I Have never gotten inflammation and pain relief like this. the Iolite is very portable, small and emits no harsh odors or irritating carbon. I can get relief, sleep well and in my busy life no odor is key. I HIGHly recommend this little beauty.

Awesome little device Review by Kelly on 1/19/12
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I love my portable Iolite Vaporizer! The only thing that bugs me is the butane. So, I picked up an electric one, too, for at home. I use both often. It helps my Asthma not to smoke, but I need the medicine for my chronic pain & mobility issues. I also own several other Vaporizers. This is my personal favorite. Put away the Volcano, to save for when company comes, although it is my second favorite.

Tired of Clicking Review by Vapor-Tired on 1/6/12
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I have had mine for over a year, and NEVER has it ignited on the first try...Never on the 20th try...it leaks the butane and is almost empty by the time it starts working...This is a big disapointment...and NOT worth the money spent. I have made numerous calls to the number and am always put on hold...and after 20 minutes...Im tired of holding...

Not worthy Review by Try harder on 1/2/12
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Have an original Iolite and it has proven to be an excerise in frustration. Every time I rely on this model to work it fails me. It is acceptable when it does work, although I have used an Arizer Solo and a Magic Flight (both electric portables) and a Volcano, and I find they also deliver a better load. If the Iolite would just start, it would get a much better review, but we click and click the starter button and it won't ignite, and all this time it's venting propane, which is expensive because it must be pure, and if you don't pack your can with you, you run out out because of all you have wasted getting it ignited....if you eventually do. It should be better, and other reviews I've read have addressed the same problem. I hope Iolite will offer a solution, but as others have had limited success dealing with this company, I'll suggest purchasing the Solo instead. I didn't buy it to get pissed off. Good luck!

Will not work at high altitudes Review by Sarah on 7/8/10

Fantastic little unit Review by Schloss on 5/31/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This is my second portable vaporizer. I bought a Vapir Oxygen Mini about 3 years ago and was overall disappointed with its performance. It never gave good hits and was awkward to load and carry around, as it needed a battery pack and cord if you wanted to take it on the go. I had almost given up on portable vaporizers until I heard about this one on a podcast. I decided to give it a try after all the reviews on here. Man I’m glad I did.
For those who are talking about the cheap plastic, yes, it is very light and would seem cheap just because it's lightweight, but it's not. Remember the plastic parts come in contact with chambers that get up to 375 degrees...this aint some crap made in China plastic..its high grade. When you think about all the things this little hand grenade is doing inside, you realize it's a very high quality device.
Of course the be all end all of a vaporizer is the draws it gives. This thing hits like a champion. You have to remember a few things when using this unit, or you may get frustrated and think it's not working. First, the 45 second thing, forget it. I turn the unit on and remove the chamber, and then prepare my material carefully while it's heating up. I let it run for at least 3 or 4 minutes before I insert the chamber back in. Then, take some slow draws. The first draw will be very flavorful, but no visible vapor will come out when you exhale. As you go, less flavor will come out but more white colored vapor will begin to form. Using this thing for all it's worth takes time...I usually hit it for a good 20 minutes each time I vape. Your best draws will start coming after about 10 minutes. Trust me, those people who hit it for 5- min and then shut it off and declare the things a piece of sh*t just aren't doing it right. It's best to take really long draws (I usually inhale slowly for 5-10 seconds each time...and then i hold it for about 3-5 seconds before exhaling) I have taken draws for 20 seconds, held them for 10, and I haven't coughed once hitting this thing. I've even found myself taking draws like that, one after another, two or three times in a row without taking a breath in between...no problem. Believe me, once you get this thing primed and going..you will get phat draws of vapor coming out every time for 10-15 minutes straight. It is VERY efficient with any material..sometimes I get 2 sessions out of one little pack. Just keep hitting it and have faith...you will get consistent thick vapor but you have to keep it going for a while.
Perhaps the best thing about this unit is the portability. The Vapir Mini was "portable", but looked like a flute with a long phone cord coming off of it leading to a box...not exactly stealth. This thing is so low key you could vape in public with no worries. Get the 15 inch vinyl tubing with it..and get a 32oz Moe's or Baja Fresh to-go cup, drop this bad boy in, and use the vinyl tube as your "straw" for your drink. Good to go. I even take this to the beach and sit in my little tent puffing away; no one's the wiser. This thing is awesome.
The accessories that come with it are also very quality. The magnet latch for the pouch inside the carrying case is a nice touch. (No tearing velcro sound...even more DL) All in all the iolite has revived my faith in vaporizing. I may never smoke again. When you think about how often you can take this thing (in the car, hiking, boating, beach, skiing) with you, the price really is a non-issue. How much do you spend a year on your cellphone? $500? $800? $1000? For $200 to get years of vaporizing enjoyment is really a bargain. I would not hesitate to recommend this vaporizer to anyone. Now that I've been talking about it for so long....time to pack it up! Happy vaping!

Get something else Review by Da Dog on 5/30/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I really don't like this unit.
I dislike how the chamber fits, or doesn't, especially when you are trying to use it. It is awkward and clumsy, and wastes vapor while you try to get the two pieces to fit together.
Heat wise, this unit doesn't get near proper vaporization temperatures for many different types of material even after 10 minutes.
Concept wise, I like the idea of using butane power to generate a steady temperature, I just think this unit really needs the ability to change the temperature the unit stabilizes at.
Also, the chamber needs to be redesigned and tapered so you aren't fumbling while you try to get the two pieces together so you can get on with vaping. Problems loading this unit and the long heat up time and the low temperature all contribute to my recommendation for most people to shop around before selecting this unit.
Although my overall review of this unit is negative, I feel the overall design is sound, and with a few minor adjustments in manufacturing, this could be an excellent unit. With the current chamber and low temperatures, this unit misses the mark of what could be an excellent product. -
Amazing technology Review by Scott on 5/10/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I've only had it a week or so but if it lasts, it's fantastic. It is easy to use and works great. It is a little more difficult to use than my Budda, and doesn't handle the quantity of the Budda, but it is portable and fits in a pocket! Just a great product.

Fantastic Review by Richard on 4/25/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This is actually my second Volcano.
Bought this one to furnish a new condo in San Diego so that I don't have to travel with my original, which is now 5 years old and still works fine.
Have tried many other types of vaporizers, but for the money the Volcano is the best there is.
Also like the travel case a lot, very nice gift.

the best vape out there Review by big chief on 4/16/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This is a great vaporizer and the Germans have it figured out.
Easy to use, different bags allow for different situations and it is such a great setup. A bag can go round and round before it needs to be re loaded and this is simply the best vaporizer on the market. Go Digital if you think you really need the precision but the classic is just as good in my book.
Thank you Storz & Bickel and thank you Vape World for making it happen!!! -
Awesome, will never smoke again Review by Chill on 3/26/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value The Volcano is worth every penny. If the money is what bothers you, dont let it. this product is well worth it. my only recommendation is that you use the easy valve system compared to the solid valve. the solid valve gets very sticky and needs to be cleaned often. products taste sooooo much better in a volcano.

Excellent Product Review by Greg on 3/8/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value Now that I have the Volcano, all other methods of intake seem so "dirty". This is the best way to enjoy and I love my new Volcano!
-
Excellent Vape Review by Funston on 2/28/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This vaporizer is top-notch. You can tell the people that designed it built the volcano to perfection and to be able to work for years to come. I personally think the classic volcano is just the same as the digital. It works just as great. The only reasons to upgrade to the digital volcano is the auto-shut off function, preciseness of temperature, and a bit more heating time which actually makes the vapor better. I like the solid valve because it can blow up to any size which is great for using with a bunch of friends. The only flaw of the solid valve is that the residue can seep into the balloon and it could be somewhat of a hassle to clean.

its awesome when it works. Review by ben dover on 2/10/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value awesome device! love it. however, the $250 for a self contained butane lighter is insane!! Looking over the device one can tell they cost less than $30 to produce one. additional, Mine fell out of my coat pocket for the first time and now it no longer works. if your not rich like me, spend the $250 on a home vaporizer and look for less expensive, easy to replace portable vaporizers. Please keep in mind that a portable vap WILL get bumped and banged when its being passed around in the car or when going for a walk. take my advice go for a cheaper portable and spend big on the home vap.

Excellent for Portability Review by dstrick007 on 2/8/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I love mine. I admit it took me a little while to learn how to use ut, but now it does the trick when I use it. I have learned to get great vape draws and the fuel last a long time. The Customer Service of Vape World is excellent.

Top notch quality Review by VapeMan on 1/14/10
Quality Ease-of-Use Value The volcano vaporizer has changed my life style. Any time I try to use anything involving combustion, my mouth feels dirty, like an ashtray. (I do still enjoy hand rolled tobacco)
The digital is very nice because its much more accurate in the temperature range, and if you choose to vaporize aromatherapy like lavender, or mint, you can look up the vapor temperature and tune your volcano into it.
The LED's are VERY bright and easy to read, the buttons are also very big and color coded, so if your feeling a little spaced out it's easier to know what to press (red= stop, green= go)
The volcano digital is also built very solid, no loose parts, very clean design, simple and VERY effective. Nothing screws on so there is no chance that your volcano will over fill and explode (rubber o rings sitting on each other help this)
Overall, I would say the volcano saves about 2.5x as much of whatever you put in it (from my experience)
Also, there is very little smell with the volcano as compared to smoking, nothing a simple candle cant take on
The price IS steep, but you will find no vaporizer better. If you want the BEST vaporizer out there, shell out the extra cash, it will be worth it.
Get a volcano, it saves you money, and saves your respiratory system.

Will not turn back Review by kyle on 12/21/09

Almost Perfect Review by TwistedMonkey on 12/10/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I've owned this unit a year now and it's my portable go to unit. I agree there's a learning curve but it's worth it. The best advice I can give about this unit is to cycle the off/on switch after a few minutes. This extends your butane and material and helps to prevent the plastic pieces from melting. One of my draw tubes actually melted at the screw in base and snapped off. Not a huge deal but a hassle. Other than that this has been a very good investment, besides my Volcano.
-
Nice unit for personal use - VERY portable Review by AGBeer on 11/29/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This is my first vaporizer and I'm all but in love. Its small, heats up quickly and does a decent job at vaporizing my blends. The world of vaporization has opened up so many other doors of remedies, I don't think Ill EVER go back to smoking. My only complaint about this unit is the price vs the longevity of the unit. I don't expect this to last a lifetime, but its plastic body still makes me a bit nervous. (Although a buddy dropped it, and it didn't miss a beat!)
If you take in to account the portability factor, and stealth factor its a GREAT vaporizer! -

awesome Review by munzie on 9/17/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I've had mine for about 1.5 yrs and i love it. my product lasts three times as long. i would recommend only filling the chamber 2/ 3rds full, and use a good grinder to prepare your product. I use the iolite outside my home and the volcano in my home. I don't think ill ever smoke again

Great little unit Review by CALIFGRRL on 8/3/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value This is an excellent alternative to the Volcano for individual or 2-person use. Very easy to use. I only give 4 stars for ease-of-use because it was difficult to figure out how to use it (instructions not very good) and very hard to figure out how to clean it. Once I got it mastered, I have loved it! Much better for my lungs than even the Volcano, IMHO.

Save your lungs....not your wallet Review by Kyle K on 5/16/09
Quality Ease-of-Use Value I've wanted a Volcano Vaporizer forever after using a friends, but never really had the money to buy one. I considered buying a used one on eBay, but they weren't that much cheaper and I wasn't sure if I trusted it. Eventually, I decided to save my lungs and not my wallet. The unit is awesome as predicted. I also went for the Easy Valve over my friends Solid Valve set and I'm very happy with it. My only complaint is that I can't make a bigger balloon, but I'm still a fan. Plus you can throw the Easy Balloon across the room without injury which is always good, but obviously the best part is that I don't have to clean anything. Besides the steep price tag, the Volcano and Easy Valve is everything I hoped and dreamed for :)
