Day 1 of CHAMPS Show 3/2/10

3/1/10:

The day before yesterday could have been the Vape World team’s longest day ever. Our super clean white Chrysler 300 limo pulled up to pick us up around 4:15am with Champagne and OJ in hand we were off to Palm Beach International Airport. Our 2 flights were not that bad… No crying babies or us being stuck to someone too big for those horribly uncomfortable Delta Coach class seats.

We arrived in Las Vegas at about 11:30am PST and immediately were greeted with the fact that our extended nights here at THE Hotel were never created even though they were requested 2 weeks ago. From that overly frustrating point we arrived at our booths in the CHAMPS show. Everything arrived!! But not every piece was in tact. One of our newly purchased Display Towers had a whole side pane of glass broken. With no help from Las Vegas Expo people we were stuck with it broken for now and just spun it around to the back of the booth so no one could tell.

Setup took about 5-6 hours – with 5 people helping. After being up from 04:00am to then 08:00pm PST we were exhausted. The booth setup worked well. Its clean, professional and showcases product perfectly. In August we will be changing the way we hold the banner above our booths – we always put a banner 16ft high above our booth but with 3 huge poles holding it up I feel like it’s not the best way to do it.

With our inflatable Volcano vaporizer blown up, vaporizers of all kinds displayed and a 20ft long VapeWorld.com banner braced high above our booth we definitely got the job done.

We had a decent meal our first night in Las Vegas after trying out our custom Chrome Vaporfection Stealth II. Once done with dinner we grabbed a few drinks and crashed hard. We ended up having almost a 24 hour day because of the 3 hour loss of time due to travel.

3/2/10:

Well yesterday was Day 1 of Champs show in Las Vegas, an industry event where Vape World showcases our professional image as well as many products including the new Magic Flight Launch Box and The Predator vaporizer.

That morning we woke up refreshed and ready to sell vaporizers and ourselves as a professional customer service oriented team.

Our booth is different from many others at Champs because ours mainly is business oriented. We don’t play music, we don’t have girls handing out flyers and things like that. It was actually met with a refreshing vibe that buyers at the show seemed to enjoy. We took tons of new orders and met a bunch of existing shops we sell to already. All the hard work paid off ten-fold just in Day 1. We wrapped up talking to great people and upholding our brand image perfectly at around 06:15pm.

We grabbed The Predator to try out and of course the Iolite just in case The Predator couldn’t do its job.

I will have a full vaporizer review of The Predator shortly when we get back to Florida. We met up with a few friends and gambled a little. A couple of drinks later we decided to call it quits before we went broke and called it a night. It’s tough to go big in Vegas when you have to be up before 09:00am every morning and have to stand on your feet for 6 hours at the trade show.

The last night of Champs is Thursday so we will definetly be doing it up when it’s over. Stay tuned for more blog posts about Vape World at the CHAMPS show!
