Which Vaporizer Is Right For You?
By: Chris Levine
Being the Marketing Director for over 2 years here at VapeWorld.com and Warehouse Goods Inc. I have talked to thousands of people about vaporizers, their needs, their wants and their budgets. Let’s be honest not everyone has $669 for an “herbal device” especially when you can get something as low as $20 from a gas station now-a-days.. .
I wanted to finally put some thoughts down on paper for new and old customers to read and maybe learn a thing or two with an inside look at vaporizers and where they are going…
To start, I wanted to explain the differences between the major vaporizers, our drop down menu and maybe help you choose the right vaporizer for you. Our drop down menu on VapeWorld.com goes like this: “Only Balloon Fill Vaporizers” – which is a long term for the Volcano Vaporizers – since these are the only major vaporizer (or at least the only one VapeWorld.com carries) that only fill up vapor bags/ balloons.
Since we are on the topic of Volcano vaporizers – the main question I get is, “Are these really the best?” My answer ; “Yes, but it depends on how you’re going to use it”. See these are the most expensive vaporizers we carry with a set price range of $539 and $669 shipped with a case from VapeWorld.com and if you are a once a day “solo” vaporist than this may be overkill for you but if you have roommates, or parties, or on a need to medicate all day type of situation than this is the best vaporizer for you.
“What if I want the vapor bag option but don’t have $500+ to spend?” This happens to be our next menu category – “Balloon and Whip Vaporizers” these vaporizers are usually between $200 and $300 and have some form of fan or pump to fill balloons but can also vaporize by using a 2-3’ long silicon or latex tube to inhale from. Arguably these are the best bang for your buck. For instance you want to vaporize by yourself or with 1 other person 90% of the time BUT you like having people over to use your vaporizer – that’s when the balloon option is a nice treat. Your vaporizer product options are: Extreme Q Vaporizer, herbalAire H2.1 and Vapir products. The Extreme Q and herbalAire are very very similar – both are made in Canada, both have a 3 year warranty and both are “dual-function” vaporizers, which means they do both bags and tubing options. While the herbalAire uses an external pump the Extreme Q uses a slower built-in fan. The herbalAire uses all urethane and Teflon parts, the Extreme Q uses all glass parts. While the Extreme Q is 10x more popular, I personally like the herbalAire better for reasons such as no glass parts to break and replace AND no need to grind up your medicine/herbs.
I mentioned Vapir products in this category because the 5.0 and Vapormatic Deluxe fill up balloons and you can inhale from a tube. They are not bad vaporizers – the 5.0 is probably the best selling vaporizer ever for a $150 price tag but their lack of warranty affects them negatively – with only 30 days through the manufacturer and the “plastic-ness” you get from using them. If you are broke and want a balloon vaporizer go with the Vapir 5.0 – great bang for lack of buck.
The last type of vaporizer happens to be 90% of vaporizers we carry/sell – “Whip Style Vaporizers” These all may look different but they all do the same thing using the same method… Here is a crude drawing for you:

Above you can see a Heating Element – which is just like it sounds – a ceramic, glass or steel rod that gets “heated” to a set temperature. (Usually between 300 and 400 degrees depending on your model vaporizer). If you follow the “red” arrow in the picture you see a green box for your plant material or Herbs and that it is partially inside of a Glass Wand, which is a “glass tube looking” object that has a screen inside of it for your herbs to sit on. The next arrow is no longer red but a lighter color because your vapor has cooled from the original 300-400 degrees as it enters the silicon Tubing in the picture above. At the end of the Tubing you will see another light blue box that is labeled Mouthpiece – which is obviously where you inhale from.
So in a nut shell you have hot air passing through your herbs through a long tube and into your mouth via a mouthpiece. And as long as you are just extracting the oils from the plant and not causing combusting BOOM you have vaporization! This is actually how all vaporizers work even the Volcano vaporizer it’s just doing the inhaling for you via an air pump and collecting the vapor into a sealed bag or balloon.
The above type of vaporizer “Whip Style” is a hot topic when it comes to vaporizers – many argue that this is the BEST way to vaporize compared to a Volcano’s balloon style technique. My opinion on them is that they look really cool – the Hot Box and SSV have great designs that make it more artwork than devices but they are not social friendly … I personally own right now a Vaporfection Novus which uses a glass heating element and very smart internal controller labeled VDS. While it’s the most expensive “Whip Style Vaporizer” we carry here at VapeWorld.com it’s perfect for my once a day relaz session before bed while still being the most efficient and tasty vaporizer I have ever used… sorry Volcano.
Hope that helped or at least wasn’t a painful read for everyone. If you have any comments or suggestions please email me at chris@vapeworld.com.

Top 5 Things to Know When Buying a Vaporizer Online

Top 5 Things to Know When Buying a Vaporizer Online
The greatest selection of quality vaporizers can be found and purchased online from a number of websites. Like any other online purchase, the consumer should be aware of several things about the company and the website before completing the purchase of a vaporizer.
Possibly the most important aspect of purchasing a vaporizer online is the actual checkout process on the website. To avoid the potential risk of theft or fraud, always be sure that the website uses a payment process that is secure and verified. The website should contain an authentic emblem stating that the processing of private data like a credit card along with other personal information is handled by secure software that is verified by a reputable company and that private data is not released to third parties.
To insure quality customer service after the purchase, check into the reliability of the company. Research the company to uncover complaints or disputes regarding the vaporizer products or services. Discussion forums and merchant watchdog organizations such as the Better Business Bureau are excellent sources to use to find out if a company has complaints against it regarding the products being sold, shipping issues or any other customer service issues.
When choosing to buy a vaporizer online, find out if the product comes with any sort of warranty and guarantee of satisfaction. If the vaporizer is truly of good quality and design, it should have a warranty against manufacturer’s defects and the stated longevity of the product. A satisfaction guarantee also insures that the new vaporizer lives up to the standards of its advertising.
Vaporizers have a variety of accessories and attachments. When purchasing a vaporizer online, check out the availability of both vaporizer replacement parts and additional accessories for the model being purchased. If the vaporizer is intended for a multiple of uses, be sure the desired accessories can be purchased as well. Also, discontinued models are sometimes sold at discount prices and parts for such models become unavailable very quickly.
Finally, carefully read the vaporizer company’s policy regarding returns, exchanges and refunds. The return policy should be listed and easily accessible on the website and generally, each company’s policy contains different information. Look for rules about return shipping costs, replacement parts, repairs, exchanging a faulty product, and the company’s statement about refunding the cost of a purchase. Usually, there is a time limit set for the return of a product, so be sure the time allotted is a viable amount of time to test the vaporizer for quality and satisfaction.

Today, a broad range of vaporizers is available in the marketplace. And, portable vaporizer is amongst the best in this category. What makes it different and unique from other vaporizers is easy maintenance and portable nature. When it comes to functionality, portable vaporizer is a wonderful device to work with. Its usage, function, design, and durability offers altogether a fresh feel worth experiencing. It is not a traditional pipe, but a huge technological gift that could make smoking safer and pleasurable at a very reasonable price.
The portable vaporizer is well-equipped to facilitate appropriate infusion of temperature according to the ambiance. As a result, before getting in touch with the herbs, the hot atmosphere that comes out from a lighter lowers down to the temperature of vaporization. These vaporizers are available in two basic types, namely digital and non-digital. The digital vaporizer requires an electric connection. There are multiple benefits of portable vaporizers, some are listed below.

Reasons to Opt for Silver Surfer Vaporizer
by VapeWorld on Nov.27, 2009, under Articles
The Silver Surfer vaporizer is one of the most effective hands-free whip vaporizers available in the market today. It has a ceramic heating element very similar to what is present in Volcano vaporizer. The heating component is designed in a strategic way to make it last longer than any other vaporizers. Ceramic gets heated faster in comparison to other materials, thereby facilitating the production of cleanest vapor any vaporizer could possibly bring out. It also bears a crystalline structure similar to ruby stone, thus preventing any oxidation from herbs.
Silver Surfer vaporizer is one of its kind to come out with a water-filtered mouthpiece. This particular part functions by cooling and then moistening the vapor produced, thus releasing healthier herb vapor. It also has a temperature adjustment control with a light indicator. The Silver Surfer was designed with comfort in mind; therefore, the body of the vaporizer is structured in a way to help users comfortably hold and pack it with herb.
In addition, Silver Surfer vaporizer has a housing which is made up of significantly thick aluminum. This aluminum is meticulously anodized that makes it much harder and exhibits a much smoother finish. By and large, this is one of the best vaporizers present in the market today. “Bored to Death” uses a Volcano Vaporizer
by VapeWorld on Nov.09, 2009, under Articles, News
Jonathan Ames, a young Brooklyn writer, is feeling lost. He’s just gone through a painful break-up, thanks in part to his drinking, can’t write his second novel, and carouses too much with his magazine editor. Rather than face reality, Jonathan turns instead to his fantasies — moonlighting as a private detective — because he wants to be a hero and a man of action.
The offbeat comedy series ‘Bored to Death,’ created by Jonathan Ames (author of several books, including the acclaimed graphic novel ‘The Alcoholic’), follows the misadventures of a fictional Jonathan Ames as he pursues his quixotic dream of emulating his heroes from classic private detective novels.
Episode #8 last night aired titled “Take a dive” The Volcano Vaporizer scene went like this…. for their (Jonathan and his new girl) second date, Stella shares her new vaporizer [Volcano Vaporizer with Solid Valve] with Jonathan and they make love. Though she’s a painter, she offers advice she got from a writing teacher: “Only write about what you love.” Jonathan says he loves his private detective work, and she urges him to write about that.
One of the funny moments of the show last night was when Jonathan was explaining the night to his boss, played by Ted Danson and how Jonathan really likes Stella – Ted Danson’s reply to his emotional opening about his night was “I want to try a vaporizer.”

Natural Remedies to the Flu, Colds, Sore Throats and Coughs
by VapeWorld on Oct.19, 2009, under Articles, News
First, herbs that stimulate the immune system to fight the infection are used during and possibly to prevent colds. Echinacea and Asian ginseng are two examples in this category.
Second, herbs that promote a mild fever, hence sweating (known as diaphoretics) may be useful. Because a fever is a sign of the immune system working, it may be that diaphoretics are also immune stimulators like the first category. Elder, boneset and yarrow are three examples.
The third category includes herbs that may directly kill the viruses that cause colds, based on test tube studies. Goldenseal, myrrh and usnea are examples.
Finally, some herbs are used just to alleviate symptoms such as sore throats. These herbs tend to be high in mucilage and are soothing and anti-inflammatory or have tannins that are astringent. Marshmallow and red raspberry are two examples. Symptom-relieving herbs may have other active constituents and mechanisms of actions. As you can see in the following list, many herbs fit in more than one category, such as goldenseal (immune stimulating and antiviral).

Silver Surfer Vaporizer Review
by VapeWorld on Sep.24, 2009, under Articles, Reviews
Here is a short blurb from our vaporizer review:
“With a single inhalation method the Silver Surfer Vaporizer is easy to use for any vaporist novice or advanced. You simply connect to your wand filled with ground herb to the heater cover. Make sure your SSV is at the correct knob position – we keep ours at ¾ maybe a little less and inhale like through a straw until you feel there is enough vapor in your lungs. ”

Vaporizers and Your Health Matter
by VapeWorld on Sep.09, 2009, under Articles, News
Vape World promotes vaporizer-use everyday. We do this not just to stay afloat in this industry but because we care about your health. Glass will always be an art but healthy living and lifestyles is becoming more and more of a priority. Gym memberships are up, healthy eating is becoming the norm and more and more people are quitting cigarettes. So why vaporize? And what is this process of vaporization? Here’s a blurb from one of our many informative vaporizer articles only available at www.VapeWorld.com
Vaporization is an alternative to smoking. Rather than using a flame to burn the herb at about 900 degrees, which produces carcinogenic and toxic by-products, a vaporizer heats the material in a way that the active materials contained in the plant are extracted into a vapor. Operating a much lower temperature vaporizers result in no combustion eliminating 99.9% of harmful carcinogens that are normally present in smoke.
